Calling All New England Musicians & Performers, Fine Artists & Craftspeople,
The Chelsea Arts Collective (CAC) is now accepting applications for the First Annual Arts on the Green Market & Festival to be held on the North Common in historic Chelsea Village, Vermont.
Chelsea is located along the first branch of the White River and is an eclectic community with a rich history of agriculture and civic-mindedness.
The aim of the Arts on the Green Market & Festival is to create a unique experience that is interactive and accessible to all lovers of the arts, to foster community engagement and creativity through the arts, and to offer a space for local art-makers to showcase and/or sell their work.
There will be a community potluck planned for 5pm under the MAIN festival tent, followed by a Town Hall concert at 7pm. The concert will be part of the David Rosane & The ZooKeepers’, VT Library Benefit Tour.

There is no fee for musicians or performers, but an application must be submitted with sound samples or other descriptions/ examples of your work.

First-year Introductory Fee: $50.00 per vendor / Student rate (for 18 and under) is $25.00 **A limited number of need-based scholarships will be available, please inquire.

Cancellations: A 50% refund available until July 21, 2018

**Spaces will not be officially secured until an application has been approved and a vendor payment has been received. Confirmation of both application and payment will be sent to each applicant.
**Please allow 2 weeks to receive a decision from the board.
**Please do not make a vendor payment until your application has been approved by the CAC board
In an effort to showcase a range of works and talent, applications will be reviewed by a jury (see JURY INFORMATION below).
Applicants will be notified by June 5th (at the latest), whether they have been selected to participate in the market and festival.
The CAC board recommends applying early, to receive a notification sooner than June 5th.
For a complete list of categories, please reference below. Preference will be given to those willing to demonstrate their artistic process the day of the festival.
PUBLIC ADMISSION FEE: FREE (no gate)
PARKING: Street parking and other designated town lots
VENDOR SPACES: 10 x 10 booth space. Multiple spaces available upon request, $50/space. No electrical access provided. A maximum of two vendors per booth.
SET-UP: Begins at 8am the morning of the festival (if more time is needed for setup, please contact us)
JURYING INFORMATION: The number of participants selected will be based on vendor space available and will be chosen by a jury of fine artists and craftspeople. All participants in the show will be chosen by this jury and will be notified, at the latest, when the submission deadlines have closed. WAIT LIST applications will then be accepted.
Artists contacted from the waitlist, will be chosen by category as cancellations are received, and at that time can accept or decline our invitation to participate.
All work must be of original design and produced by the artist(s) or craftspeople. The work exhibited must match the quality and style of work, as represented in the submitted digital images.
The artist/craftsperson whose work has been accepted, must be present for the duration of the show.
The festival will take place rain or shine. Exhibitors should be prepared for inclement weather with their own protective structures or tents. The MAIN festival tent will be utilized for some demonstrations, and later for the community potluck.

The Arts on the Green Market & Festival is part of a larger Arts Initiative that has been set in motion to foster community engagement, and generate interest and support around local revitalization efforts.
