With a successful summer arts festival and Community Barn Quilt Trail under our belts, the Chelsea Arts Collective (CAC) has put down roots on the North Common in Chelsea, VT to further our mission of creating public, community-oriented events and activities that encourage an appreciation for the arts and offer opportunities for regional, working artists from Chelsea and beyond, to exhibit, sell and promote their work in a creative, supportive and collaborative environment.
In this new space, the CAC aims to grow our membership and participation base, as well as, offer a new venue for community members to gather and interact in a cozy and colorful setting.
North Common Arts is a public benefit corporation, with a percentage of our revenue going directly back to community arts programming.
North Common Arts was founded by a committed group of investors who wanted to see the Chelsea Arts Collective establish a permanent home in our community. With additional support from other local partners and volunteers, we were able to realize our dream and open our doors in November 2018.
Our board is currently made up of all women who bring a variety of skills and expertise to the table, and who believe in empowering others through art.
They are all artists.
