Sell & DisplayNorth Common Arts is a gallery and consignment venue for emerging and established regional artists. With a focus on making the arts non-intimidating, we offer a range of events and activities that foster and inspire the exploration of creativity and the expressive arts. We strive to provide opportunities for artists to sell and display their craft in a venue that celebrates local talent.
NCA is currently accepting portfolio submissions for the Artisan Shop from prospective artists whose work stands out for its fine craftsmanship, uniqueness, and marketability. We are specifically seeking: -Woodworkers -Metalworkers -Potter/Ceramicists -Print Makers -Textiles i.e. blankets/throws, tapestry art, etc. -Functional crafted wares for home & kitchen -Artisanal Packaged Foods We ask that artists schedule an appointment with our Shop Coordinator regarding incoming new works, or the removal of currently displayed items.

ABOUTIn our second year of operation, North Common Arts is an ever-evolving creative hub that offers art activities and events with a sense of community.
While our focus is to create a unique space where community members have access to local art, music and workshops, we pride ourselves on being a place where patrons feel free to gather and interact in a welcoming environment. Browse the Artisan Shop to find a special, handcrafted gift. Stop in for a cup of coffee, something sweet and a smile, while "on-the-go". Enjoy brunch and conversation at the North Common Cafe community table. Take in a new gallery exhibition by one of our currently-featured, local artists. North Common Arts is a public benefit corporation, with a percentage of our revenue going directly back to community arts programming. OUR STORYThe idea for North Common Arts was born from an all-female group of artists who wanted to establish a new venue for expressive arts in Chelsea, VT and the First Branch Valley. Their vision was to create a space that was inclusive and accessible; that offered a variety of events and activities, that in turn, supported the local creative economy. With additional support from community partners and volunteers, they were able to realize their dream, opening their doors in November 2018.
